switching from Fido to Chatr for iPhone 4S?

I'm on month to month with Fido, paying $65 for regular features like 200min and 6GB data. I'll be switching to a cheaper plan to use with a iPhone 4S. Chatr's $45 plan sounds good and 100MB is ok, although 500MB would be nicer.

How likely is it that Fido will offer me a competitive plan if I simply mentioned Chatr, or would you not waste time and just port number over to the new provider?

You should be able to get a good plan for $50 bucks. Call in to retentions. I did yesterday and did pretty well.

Chatr doesn't carry Micro Sim Card.

I visited a Chatr kiosk and they said they carried micro SIM for iPhone 4.

I think you know, you don't need to have a micro sim in order to use the iphone 4/4s on Chatr or other GSM/HSPA providers

Does Fido usually give out a free micro SIM to existing customers who need one, or do they have to pay for it?

Yes, indeed, but too risky to cut a regular sim card. I've read too many horror stories about cut sim cards.

Can you clarify, or do you mean you can cut down an existing SIM card to fit it?

^ Yes you can, its really easy or you can go into a local cell phone/unlocking repair shop & most of them have this little machine that can cut your regular sim into a micro sim professionaly for free or for a very small charge.

@ OP, Micro Sim and Regular Sim are exactly the same except the size.

...so ur getting the 4s from Fido and then switching to Cheater?....cause other way I don't think Cheater will offer any fruity phones at all....ever....

A rogers SIM card can be activated on Chatr. If they really wanted to, they can buy a Rogers microSIM and have Chatr activate it with their service.

This is the big question, how easy a Chatr sales rep will activate a Rogers Sim Card?!?

Did you on Purpose write Cheater or did the spell check Auto Changed Chatr to Cheater & you just didn't reliaze it did that.

Happens to me all the time on my Android Samsung 10.1 Tablet

...well Cheatr was meant to create a trap against the new entrants since Rogers can't do fair competition, so they have to cheat and what a better name and such a coincidence their "new" brand is called Chatr...I just added the "e" where they forgot.
