I have an N8 + N9. Both came from Europe within 1 month of their release and no problems with ATT or any updates.

I have insight for you,
Already earlier - people talked about cutting micro sim by hand (that's how I did because couldn't wait 4 days for cutter to arrive after phone having on my hands) and having problems with SIM contacts internally - different wierd ideas where given, some may be usable but here is my situation:
Because I did it by hand I might cut it inperfectly and because of that - especially initially - I have had problem to properly insert it - usually needed to force in more before release - now - recently I did brake the USB door and because of that time after time by the accident I'm pushing in my SIM tray which releases it - so I have no signal sign or missing sim etc... but just recently I figured the best SIM insertion at least for me in my situation is extreamly easy one - to insert SIM very easy way - just barely locking in - light, light - that's the way it always works after right away on 100 %.

when you're talking about inserting the SIM, are you talking about SIM into the tray or tray with SIM into the opening?

either way, I don't have to force it in to get my SIM card in. I just push it in lightly, but with even pressure.

like I've said, if I just don't touch the phone for awhile (after it's been off for awhile), it works again.

I will, however, try and get another sim and hope that it is in fact the case.

Have you tried reflashing the phone? I know it sounds like a PITA but that would help determine whether it is a hardware or software issue.

yea that was the first thing i did. doesn't seem to do anything. and after i got pr 1.2, it happens more often. iono if i should go get another sim or not

well after awhole day and my phone didn't read the sim, i just went and got another one. so far so good. hoping it was a sim issue and not a phone issue.

I have a rare question about the Nokia N9.

Just like the Symbian Operating system, or to be more specific the N97, when iam on a phone call, iam able to play some of my audio recording while on the phone with someone, and it was loud, so hey can hear it.

I wanted to know if Im able to play audio files while on a live call so that I, as well as the person on the phone can hear it, and it is loud?

I'm been having problem synching with my hotmail.ca account with exchange...it keeps telling me that it is an invalid mail exchanger server...however up to this point the server address has always been ...m.hotmail.com...anyone having similiar issues?

It's a known problem currently with mfe using hotmail.

I updated OTA. No issues. The phone was slow at first while it was doing some background reindexing (same as PR1.2). After that it feels quite responsive. The biggest improvement appears to be performance and speed.

One note though. I seem to have lost most of my N9Tweaks. I am not going to try to reapply them until a new version is released for PR1.3.
