Just purchased a White N9 for my wife from the WELECTRONICS.com store in Chicago. It had a manufacture date of April 2012 on it and was made in China, not Finland, as my White N9 was. It appears as though it was a Vietnamese version as it had numerous Vietnamese programs on it... anyway... to the question.

It is currently running PR 1.2 and it is having an issue with constantly going off network. Meaning it will be fine one minute then the next it will not display cell info and it will need to be restarted. I have connected it to Nokia Suite on my comp and checked for OTA updates and both say it is up to date. Anyone have any ideas on how to remedy the cell service issue or possibly how to update to PR 1.3? I am hoping that might work.

Did you try to clear all settings?

If it's a vietnamese version, there will be differences in the basebands/carrier settings

Thanks trungbeo... I did "Clear Device" in "Reset" menu of settings. Is there a way to perform a hard reset to clear all settings? I am not sure if "Clear Device" is what you meant.

Also, are the baseband/carrier settings tied to the SIM or is there a way to update those on the hardware to reflect at&t's baseband and carrier settings?

thanks again for your help... still experiencing the issue and not able to update to PR 1.3 OTA.

Yes, +1 to flashing. That's the only way to completely/ permanently change the basebands 'settings

Thanks so much for your help here... My wife currently has the phone with her so I cannot try it right now... It will likely be an evening procedure.

When selecting the Variant on NaviFirm am I to select the actual variant, off the sim tray, or is there a better variant to flash it to? Mine is 059M5R3 NDT Northern Europe and I have not had any problems so I am wondering if I should select that variant to flash her device to.

I am pretty green on flashing and am only somewhat familiar with terminal so this is quite a task.

Flashing is pretty simple... Choose ROW or NDT firmwares... You'll be fine

It seems as though the Flasher Download Site link http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/maemo-d...-downloads.php is dead? Any other methods to download/install a flasher version for Windows?

My wife's N9 is having issues again but they are with the screen flickering or going "dead" with a soft green color.

Do you need it for a x64 version? If so i have it. i can db it and link it here....

I honestly don't know if I need it for an x64, I dont think so. I just have a basic Dell Latitude 6500 running Vista Ultimate.
