You got to be Kidding me, you are comparing a wired Internet service VS a Wireless Service. It's not even a comparision. Like another poster said why don't you compare those companies wireless Internet to wireless Internet then come here and tell us. Not to mention with Wind you can have the Internet service on prepaid let's see those providers you mention offer prepaid unlimited Internet on wireless or wireline.

The word 'Pentaband' means '5 Bands', from the Greek word 'pente' meaning '5'. For a phone to be pentaband it has to support 5 bands. If the phone has AWS support, it doesn't automatically mean that it is pentaband. The reason Wind and Mobilicity users like pentaband phones is because the reverse is true. We're not the only ones who like pentaband phones though, so please stop referring to phones that work on Wind and Mobilicity as pentaband. It causes unnecessary cofusion.
Does Wind offer top up cards in $25 denominations?
Yes, I'm with Wind (on their $29 "unlimited plan") and I got throttled/capped/slowed down, whatever you want to call it.
I moved into a new suite last month and didn't have dedicated internet connection, so I decided to Wifi-tether my Nexus S to my computer for the first time in my life of owning a data plan.
At around 5.5 gigs I get a text from Wind saying they had the right to throttle me to make it fair for everyone else. It's amazing how people can get use 10+gigs multiple times and get away with it? And here I am, on my very first usage I get my pipe thinned down, and man, it was slow.
I can't even get wired/wireless tethering from my Nexus S to work properly with a Windows or a Mac laptop.
If you're trying to USB tether (which IMO is the most power saving method), it won't work.
If you Bluetooth tether, it won't work either.
Only Portable Wifi Hotspot tether works.
Don't ask me why Wind/Nexus S won't allow you to USB tether. It's ridiculous.
For reference I'm on an Imac and only Wifi tether works for me.
Got a warning yesterday from WIND.
"Heads up! You are coming close to using 5GB of data this cycle. To continue using data at full speed dial *123# to subscribe to Premium data add-on @ $10/mo"
My cycle is up in 7 days.
Been using Wi-Fi a lot.
Nevermind Bell.. LTE is fine.
This is simply false. I primarily use my Wind Nexus S for USB tethering and always have. Stop blaming the carrier!
And for the record, I also got throttled this month. But not until 12GB's of usage. It's still usable for all my needs though, I don't use cellular tethering for things like videos or torrenting lol.
