    iTunes "Waiting for sync to start..."

    Just incase someone posts this because I just had this problem.

    Phone would not sync for whatever reason. I reset my phone and comp and it's all good to go. Now only if I can get wifi sync to work then I'll be a happy camper .

    Thanks! I had a similar issue and a re-start helped!

    First, you need to set it up by enabling Wi-Fi syncing from iTunes in the Info tab of your iOS device.

    Make sure iTunes is running on your computer. Then, make sure your iOS device is plugged into a power source and WiFi on. From the settings App, go to "general" and select "iTunes Wi-Fi Sync".

    A: No, I would treat her as an equal.

    I did all of that and still no luck. It looks like it should work but the force "sync" button on that wifi sync page is greyed out. Again I'll try again later, not the biggest deal in the world but would like to get it working.

    This may be silly, but, check your firewall settings on your computer?

    Attach iPhone and deselect the 2nd option "Allow this iPhone to ...." in "Summary" tab of iTunes then click apply. After this select back the 2nd option again. Unplug the iPhone and turn on wifi and the "Sync Now" button in the "iTunes Wi-Fi Sync" tab can now tap and start wireless sync with the host PC.

    @Angler2005

    Still does not work, again the sync button on the phone is greyed out for whatever reason. I'll keep googling. Maybe it's something in the windows7 firewall that's the problem. I just tried it on my wife's phone as well same problem. So I'm thinking it's more a problem on my windows7 computer, but I've disabled firewalls and what not so again no idea.

    Was having the same issue as OP. I rebooted my jailbroken iphone 4 (iOS 5) and it worked fine after that.
