    Sprints Trial Period with iPhone

    Question here, i would like to get the unlimited data with the iPhone on Sprint network as long as ill have good coverage the 3G speed is good. Now if i am not pleased with the speed and service will Sprint gladly accept my return without a big fuss and try not to screw me?

    Trial period is 14 days. Return it if you need to within that period and you should not get screwed.

    You have a 14 day trial period. I have sprint and came from att and I'm very happy. If you need anything else let me know.

    As others have said, 14 days. That doesn't mean 15 days. Or 14.1 days.

    Not sure if the iPhone has any exceptions or restocking fees, ask when you purchase it.

    Keep in mind you also get charged for the usage for the # of days (it used to be you'd get 30 days, and if things didn't work you'd return and get charged zip), and I wanna say you don't get your activation back, but I could be wrong. Sprint's been changing things so much, their terms could be changed again by the time I click "post" for this message.

    So even if I wish to just try things I will still get hit with charges? Because I just wanted to see how fast the data speeds are? Are they about equal to verizon you think?

    Sprint USED to allow you 30 days, and if you cancelled within 30 days you didn't pay a dime (unless you used anyhting extra as far as international services, etc, or made purchases of content), but they recently changed it to 14 days, which is pretty much the standard as all the other carriers.

    So if you cancel within 14 days you have to pay the activation, plus whatever charges there are for the plan (pro-rated), if you cancel within 3 days, I imagine you just pay for 3 days of service, and get your activation back.

    As far as data speeds, it varies depending on where you are, where I am they pretty much suck, so you'd be best trying it for the 3 days, if you can't get a gauge in that time, then you can either bite the bullet and keep it the additional 10 days (I wouldnt wait til day 14), but keep in mind you'll forefit your activation, and pay for that # of days of service.

    If you'd like to try them for free, Sprint stores have live demo devices, and if there's one near where you live, that can give you a good idea.

    If you activate service, even if you return within the 14 days, you pay activation and prorated monthly charges. Since Sprint can't sell your phone (especially if you get an iPhone which is in extremely high demand) after you've activated it and used it, this is pretty much necessary. Realistically, one should probably know within a week, tops, if the phone will work for them in their daily routines.

    Keep in mind also, the day you buy it is day 1.

    Sprint is slower than verizon in most places. There are exceptions where sprint is better for exampIe my office in the 4th floor in next to the bay in burlingame by SFO.
    I have been with them for 11 years.

    You should give them a try just buy the phone a best buy so that you don't have to pay restocking fees.

    Overall there is no best carrier, all of them are bad in some areas.

    The problem with trying the phone in the stores is that most Sprint stores have the equivalent of a Airrave in their store. Your speeds in store may not be the same as outside. I will say, since I travel so much for work, it does greatly depend on where you are. I have seen speeds that are just horribly slow, to fast enough to make me go "DAMN" it just varies from place to place. And as Network Vision rolls out, hopefully we will see more of the "DAMN" speeds, then the "OMG, come on, wtf is going on" lol.

    Yep, I agree. Have been in about 15 states this year (no flying, just driving) and there have been spots where Sprint was amazing and Verizon was amazing. Overall coverage is similar in populated areas but speeds will vary. Coverage is more solid on VZW overall but how often are you going to be in the middle of nowhere? I just drive though.

    On the iPhone launch day I was hitting 1.5-2.0mbps on Virgin Mobile (Sprint prepaid) and in the same area I never went past 1.2mbps with Verizon postpaid.

    Now if someone would just make a divice that built T-Mobile GSM, AT&T GSM, Sprint CDMA, Verizon CDMA, Verizon LTE, AT&T LTE, Sprint/Clear WiMax into one device (and get used at the same time) combined speeds could be 100mbps+ and coverage would be amazing. Battery life? about 1 hour of heavy use.

    So we would need:

    LTE 750
    GSM 850
    GSM 900
    GSM 1800
    GSM 1900
    CDMA 800
    CDMA 850
    CDMA 1900
    WCDMA 850
    WCDMA 900
    WCDMA 1700
    WCDMA 1900
    WCDMA 2100
    WiMAX 2500

    With mutual unlimited roaming agreements between any carrier and simultaneous use (ex: Use Verizon 4G LTE and AT&T 4G LTE at the same time to reach 100mbps+)

    Then no coverage issues.

    Ha! That will never happen.

    I can tell you I have been to areas, where even a phone like that wouldn't of had service...lol

    that would be great if they made one with all those spectrums especially a Sprint WiMax one.... does anyone know who what frequency band Sprint's LTE will be? Also when is their EVDO Advanced coming out? it would certainly beat Verizon's iPhone speeds
