Like the first post says, only this works:

Web Browser - Works, full speed
    Youtube - Works, full speed

Nothing else. This is because Petro Canada / Speakout only allow port 80, it is a BROWSING PLAN. Port 80 = browsing.

All other apps, mail, siri DO NOT use port 80. For people with Android phones, they can root it and then install a proxy software to route everything to port 80, so lucky them iPhone not so lucky.

When you download the Iphone Configuration Utility which one do you pick in the selections

I'm having the same issues with being able to get internet/youtube, but no siri/email. I'd like a more complex workaround to get everything working well.

I have used the iPhone Configuration Utility and the browser on my I phone 4s works with Petro mobility. Now if someone knows how to set up the mail (.....@me.com) to work it would be greatly appreciated.

I got the Noosy cutter (7$ on ebay) today,it worked flawlessly,
Before that i tried the P.C sim on my iPhone 3 locked to fido :no go.
cut and inserted in the iPhone 4s ,it recognizes the petro canada network no problem.
Next hurdle, the data tryouts, but this have to wait for my fido ending cycle, when i'll port my phone number to P.C.
Ps:if you are nervous like me about cutting your Sim card by hand ,i really recommend this sim cutter http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Original-New-...item3cb3745fec ,
even the sim adapters work, albeit with a little of fiddling.

    Everything works,Siri i don't give a Blulrp.

All my apps and email work just fine,8tracks and Stm transit ,for my transit home,"go habs!!",sorryhttp://www.howardforums.com/images/smilies/hello.gif!,or navfree,

I don't care much about mail@me i prefer my g mail and Hotmail accounts which work just fine.
As for Siri ,i Didn't tried it yet,my accent is too ethnic for it obviously even on WiFi.So i don't bother any more.it's a beta release anyway.

There are complex ways around it, but I won't discuss them here...
Is it related to using VPN?
25GB Cap? DIY Telnus prepaid/Koodo unlimited EVDO internet (for $10 per 2 months, to keep account "Active"), Max 3Mbps download speed, if you roam on Bell (free), then you get non-NATed IP

I am guessing http://www.guizmovpn.com and openvpn, but it needs your phone to be jailbroken

    or http://www.mediacrave.com/?p=1115

Care to share how you set this up? I've got GuizmOVPN installed but haven't had any luck configuring an ovpn file that works.
