How much are you paying in addition to $30 with Taxes/Fees each month?
I pay usually $33.08 something like that with taxes.. I told sprint I moved to oregon so I could get the taxes lowered Ironically, my sister who lives in brighton and who I used to live there sometimes pays the exact same in taxes almost lol (she has sero 500 too)
Right now I'm paying about $38 though cause I activated "road side assistence"
It's good to know there's still a market to sell sero plans.. I'm actually considering it.. since I may want to go pre-pay.. I've told my sisters too.. not to cancel their plans if there done.. but sell them
I can see from this thread that a $50 a month iphone would be a good deal.. for some.. me I personally can't afford that $20+ extra a month.. (or really I choose not too )
It may cost a few bucks more up front to go with SERO over Boost...due mainly to the fact that you essentially have to buy the plan from someone willing to sell theirs. Plus you have to provide your own phone in most cases.
Overall though, it's worth it, IMO. SERO plans were created back when data was a non-factor and people were mostly talking and texting. Sprint wisely yanked the SERO plans in the summer of 2008 because data consumption had risen something like 2000% in a matter of a few short years. Those of us that got them got to reap the benefits for a few years. Then Sprint decided to block iconic devices from them. IMO, this was an effort to get people to drop the low cost plans. Then in december 2010, they decided to reward those of us who stuck it out with the option to upgrade to SERO premium (for only $10 more/mo) and thus be able to use 3G smartphones. 4G devices like the Evo required (and still do) an additional $10/mo premium data bolt-on.
Anyway, Boost Mobile has come a long way and has pretty decent devices now too. And the shrinkage plan is compelling. But you'll likely never see the iPhone or any of the truly desirable Sprint icons available on prepaid.
Cost is close...but I am willing to sign a 2 year contract for a deal on Sprint's best phones...that's the difference for me.
