Get a iPhone 3GS or 4, or even an Android. I would recommend a Samsung Captivate if you don't want to spend too much.....probably $150 on ebay. The iPhone 2G will be stuck on Edge.....very slow data speeds. With one of the others you'll get 3G......much faster. Just a note....the 3GS will not get fastest possible speed, it isn't capable of it, but it will still be much faster than the 2G. The Captivate should come pretty close to the fastest possible speed. Any ATT Android would work better than the iPhone 2G.

mobilespeedtest.com is such garbage, 12Mb DSL and it says 1Mb. Unfortunately on Windows Phone 7 there's not speedtest.net app. I have an app called "BandWidth" that look to use the speedtest servers, maybe? The server are very close to the list that comes up for Illinois. I was getting 3Mb earlier today. I've personally gotten 6 with an AT&T lightning connect. I drive over to the MTSO tomorrow and see what I can get :-D
This is my fastest yet from this am when I woke up too early. Am I really getting this 4G speed? Or does the E71 SIm provision it for 3G only?
Edit: Interesting that I did this test at 5:19 am but the pic says 10:19 am. Anyone know why?
