Wow, how are you guys getting that kind of speed? I ran speedtest on my Thrive and and got a max of 1.14 down and .33 up with 201ms ping. Also how do you get the screen shot?

    WOW!

Those are some pretty good data speeds. I typically get 1.5mbps. Fastest I've ever seen on my phone was around 3.8mbps. Taking a screen shot on the iPhone is easy :P Simply press the home button and power button simultaneously.

CM7 has built in, but there's tons of apps in the market. Ie screenshot it, drocap, etc.

A Thrive is a 7.2mbps (vs 14.4mbps Inspire) phone, so you can get 4-5mbps in the real world and 3mbps is very do-able.

Phone and location have a big hand in the speed.

I had a iPhone 3GS prior to my iPhone 4 on ST and the highest speed I got on down was around 1.81 and 0.21 on upload.

With the iPhone 4 I get around 4-5 for down an 1-1.6 on up at home but at work I get 1-2 for down and 0.5-0.75 for up.

Anyone with iPhone 4S had chance to try out speed test on ST?

I'd be more interested in seeing someone with an Infuse or SGS2 on ST do a speedtest. That phone supports 64QAM, which none of the others do, so its a "true" HSPA phone and 64QAM is more spectrum efficient and thus can sustain higher speeds.

I have checked the maps for my area and no one has 4g here yet so there no sense in getting a better phone at this time. I don't use data all that much anyway so it's no big deal. If I do I'm usually home and just use the comp. and if I use the phone it's running on wifi anyway. Thanks.

I know location has alot to do with it too;0) I'm in a good location, but my download speed is at around 300 Kbps. I don't know my upload, because I can't run a flash or java enabled speed test. I'm using an E71. I'm not doing anything to heavy, so the E71 is ok for now. It does suck coming from an android though. I'm still looking around for a decent inspire.

I seem to be getting constant 5mbps down and about 1mbps up with the 4S. But I only have 3 bars right now.

Here is a screen shot from my iPhone 4S. The closest server seems to be down, so I had to use other servers for now, thats the reason for the high ping times.
