Personally I won't get to worked up over the lack of a "name brand". Bandages work just as good as Band-aids and facial tissue just as well as Kleenex.

I use Invisible Shields on all my glass-having electronics anyhow.
Crapping on this thread? Take a few minutes and use some common sense. Samsung makes the screens for the iPhone 4 and of course for the Galaxy Nexus. It's pretty simple logic to think that both can be made from the same material.

Now, if you do some more research before you post, it has been determined that the fortified glass that the iPhone 4/4S uses if very strong, however, when it's so thin, it really loses a lot of it's protective properties.

Is there any info on supported bluetooth profiles? Does the Nexus support MAP? I know the RAZR will...

Is there a post or link that compares and contrasts gorilla glass with the IPhone glass?

Has anyone heard a release date on Verizon?

I was on the phone with my Verizon rep, and of course she said she didn't know, but then she made an off-hand remark about a big event around black Friday.

Anyone else gotten the impression that it will be near the end of November?

From past experience, I didn't think they did any big releases after mid November.

Will the LTE version work with ATT's LTE? What about HSPA+? If I get this version, will it work on that 4G?

Thanks for the link. With no gorilla glass and questionable ability to hold LTE, I will wait until the review from FAUguy and others to decide whether to trade in my Bionic. I do not recall if the nexus bootloader is to be locked?

I'm confused about all of this talk regarding the bootloader... Isn't that to install a custom rom and, if so, couldn't you just root the phone? Clearly I am not understanding this completely..

No. In the 700Mhz spectrum, there are different blocks of frequencies. Verizon uses the 782MHz upper C block. I can't recall which one AT&T uses, but they are not compatible.
=> Read my reviews for the Samsung Droid Charge, HTC ThunderBolt, and Casio G'zOne Commando.

    => VX8000 at Disney World:Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4.

I, for one, am quite interested in this device - 4G LTE, >4" screen, dual core processor, dedicated GPU, ICS - quite a leap from the antiquated blackberry I currently use....

I'm in the same boat, and for [various reasons], I'm committed to this device to use my upgrade and save my whopping $30.

Getting this phone for sure, but is anyone else upset about no sd card slot for removable storage & why doesn't Samsung use HDMI ports?

Over in the DROID 4 Pre-Release thread this was said to be the reason why:

That is part of their new security implementation in ICS. It remains to be seen how successful they will be in this effort, given the ubiquity of sdcards as the removable storage of choice for mobile devices.

Moto did it with no problem on the Razr. My opinion is that they (Google) want everyone to use their cloud. Is there a way to back up pictures & stuff on your phone without a SD card?

Connect the phone to a PC via usb and then move over what you want.

I don't see how this would help with piracy, could someone enlighten me?
