On my way home tonight I stopped by a local store and was able to try the phone out for a couple minutes (they wouldn't let me take any pics of it). But they've said a few boxes of them were delivered last week as the release was for the 9th, and now showing in the system for the 15th. Phone isn't as thin as the Razr, but still fell well in the hand as it's not as wide as the Razr. The curve didn't bother me at all. Liked the size of the screen, but couldn't really inspect it up close. ICS was nice and sooth, much better than Gingerbread.

What is the 3g-4g discount? Im looking at any way possible to reduce the price of the phone since a 300 dollar phone isnt in the budget. However m y OG Droid is getting a little tired

Call CSR and talk to them. I've heard that it is "midwest only" but I have seen people out of the midwest get it.

call *611, press 0, say upgrades. You'll be briefly put on hold and a CSR will answer. Ask them if they have any information about a "3G to 4G $100 off device" promotion going on now. When I called, the CSR had never heard of it, but indeed looked it up and was valid. If they tell you it doesn't exist, tell them to search the doorways system for the CH4GE promo. He added it to my account (which would be visible in the stores) to get my $100 off from the promo and $50 off from the NE2 (New Every 2) loyalty discount, thus making the phone $150 total

No pics? Funny. Pics and vids have been around for quite some time now. Like it's a big secret? lol

When I worked in wireless we would get devices way ahead of launch... there were a few like some of the first Android phones that we got before android was even launched on the carrier... by like 6 months!

Seems to just be automatic, probably because of this being launch day and a Thursday, want it this week online it needs to be overnight.

So is there no VZW phone number that is active this late? One thing I missed about Sprint/Nextel, they always had CSR available even late.
