For those who don't know I have tons of wireless lines and accounts all over the place. I recently moved 4 lines to AT&T because my immediate family wanted the iPhone 4s.
T-Mobile just called me and offered me 4 Galaxy S2's for free with free shipping and a restoral of my old grandfathered plans if I came back tonight and re-signed for 2 years. Holy you know what!!
Gee why didn't retentions offer me this before I moved those lines? I actually called retentions before I made the plunge and asked them if they would match Wal-Mart's $149.99 pricing on the device if I renewed for 2 more years on all 4 lines but they told me no.
The girl who called me a bit ago told me they have been losing a bunch of customers over the iPhone and have been instructed to do whatever it takes to get them back so......
Now it's too late for those 4 lines. I'm not going through the hassle of returning my iPhones and the such. But if anyone is reading and on the fence please call retentions again especially if you are a loyal good paying customer whose account is out of contract. Apparently there are people who work for T-Mobile who DO know how to restore old grandfathered plans and rates as a FYI.
Get that free GS2 for me!!![]()

What did they like so much about the iphone? I'm curious why does everyone call the retention, retentions? It's like those people who call a sim card, a sims card.
Is this deal a special? I saw they are offering free G2x's to new customers as well. Just wondering. I did hear something about special winback/retention offers for those who may leave for the iPhone 4s. (and at&t says T-Mobile isn't a competitor! - bah!).
EDIT: They are offering Wildfire S. (http://www.tmonews.com/2011/10/t-mob...ver-iphone-4s/).
So this seems to be special.![]()
T-Mobile. Connecting you when you need it most... disconnecting you when you need to connect with God's beautiful creation! Service is great in cities and highways, but in rural areas they leave you with just your surroundings. I encourage you to get T-Mobile, disconnect for a while!
I am glad that God is not like cell phone coverage. He does not hide behind mountains or loose us down long windy roads. The Lord levels mountains, and He makes our paths straight!
I doubt T-Mobile's android phones with with anything other than Android data plans. They block them on purpose. That's what I hate.
My co worker got 2 free SG2 and free shipping when he called retentions to renew his contract.
Do they have any lower rate plan offers if you are thinking about cancelling Tmobile?
I still have T-Mobile. But I switched out a few of my families lines.
I used Apple in the beginning but got tired of using EDGE so I switched to Android. Now I came full circle.
I get a 24% discount on AT&T voice/data so the rate plans are definitely palatable.
For those who don't know me I now resell (B2B only not consumer sorry guys) for 3 of the 4 major wireless providers so I plan to test out many devices from all over.
They only offered me this after I ported the lines out. I was willing to pay $150 for each GS2 and resign new 2 year contracts beforehand but they said no. I always pay my bills on time and have been using my own non-subsidized phones for the longest time but I guess they like you better when you are gone.![]()
This means their Q3 numbers were not so hot and between this and the $30 prepaid offering among other things they are trying hard to keep it above 33 million. Nice deal though!
