Keep in mind folks, the Ice Cream Sandwich update is being guaranteed by SAMSUNG. We LG folk technically have no reason to emote by this news unless we are considering a future/compatible SAMSUNG device.
Motorola is the only other company that KINDA said ONE of their devices will also get Ice Cream Sandwich.

LG also guaranteed the Optimus would get Gingerbread, but Metro shut us out of that. Guarantees by carriers don't mean Metro will allow us to get an update if it hurts Metro selling new phones.
Your creed may be interesting, but your deeds are much more convincing.
Camera specs are not the same. Megapixel count does not make a camera good or bad. The Galaxy Nexus also has zero shutter lag and better lenses (Samsung is known to make some of the better cell phone cameras next to Apple and Nokia.) It also shoots vids in full 1080p at 30fps.
I wouldn't mind having this phone but, I just got this Esteem and don't plan on switching any time soon. As for the price, I agree it won't be that much if it ever comes to Metro. The Revolution is a $700 phone off contract.
Well, if it's so good then why isn't it a Galaxy S?
Why is it just a Galaxy?
When we complained about the crappy plastic quality of the "Samsung Galaxy Indulge", smart alecks said we should have known better -- that Samsung Galaxy S phones are Samsung's best, that Samsung just sticking the Galaxy name on a phone doesn't mean anything. The Galaxy Indulge doesn't even have an LED flash. So, we got excited for nothing -- we thought it would be great because of the Galaxy name, but there was the missing S.
Even last year's first Gingerbread phone, the Samsung-manufactured Google Nexus S, was based on the Samsung Galaxy S hardware, and had the all-important "S"! The Galaxy S II is stellar. This new phone is just a Galaxy Nexus. No "S", no "S II".
Actually I think Metro coerced Samsung into slapping the "Galaxy" name on the Indulge because we all said we wanted a "Galaxy" phone. For Cricket, they dropped the Galaxy name. It's just the Samsung Indulge, not the Samsung Galaxy Indulge.
The LG Esteem is everything the Samsung Galaxy Indulge should have been. Dual camera, LED flash, great quality feel. I love my LG Esteem.

First, I couldn't tell you what Samsung is thinking with their naming policy. That is beyond me. Other than that, I completely agree with everything you said.
Ok chazz but hei well just have to wait for the phone to be released then
we can see if the phone really is worth talking about or if its just a dissapointment
NOW IM SUPER LOSS I want to get rid of this old phone for an esteem but if the Galaxy Nexus is coming to Metro PCS Ill hold out but what should I do?? TAKE OR WAIT??

The reason why this phone does not have the S is because is part of the NEXUS family from Google. Like Nexus one (HTC) NEXUS S and this Galaxy Nexus. This phone is better than the Esteem for many reasons. Dual Core, sensors of the camera, resolution which is (720 X 1280) Esteem is (480 X 800). 1GB RAM, The screen is Super Amolded, Camcorder 1080p, and Android 4.0. The Esteem is a very good phone for the price has almost the same specs as the HTC EVO 4G.

The phone is better in a lot of aspects but right now its only a rumor and not the kind that has came from good sources like leaky, wagonins or kayfabe. This people from what i have seen in the past have had reliable info which ImO means if a phone was coming they would know just like they knew about the esteem and other phones that have been confirmed. That order form that we all saw looks like a generic Form that they made and just pilled all the carriers on it not saying is no a posibility but just seems generic. Esteem is the best thing on metro right now and for a good while to come as where we stand right now.
Plus how much sense does it make for metro to release the esteem $349 and couple month later release a phone that would compete directly with it

totally agree with you on the lens... it's all in the lens these days. i would take a 3.0 megapixel with the best lens over a 15 megapixel garbage lens any day of the week Samsung does a great job with their lenses on camera phones. I remember the MyShot (1.3) was amazing in the daytime (would've been great anytime if it had a flash.)
