Cheapest 3G phone for testing service/coverage/speed?

Topic says it. What's the cheapest prepaid T-Mobile phone I can get with 3G that will let me test coverage in my area as well as 3G network speeds? (On the new $30 100 minute plan).

I bought the Samsung Dart at Wal-Mart. It seems to be a decent phone and cheap.

myTouch 3G is pretty cheap, has OK reception.
    T-Mobile G1
Non smartphones include the TM506, the new Samsung flip (poor reception tho), TM717, Nokia 3711..

Speaks for itself, Sprint. Try more actions and not lip service.

You might want to get 4G (cheapest one ) with this plan.

I missed the prepaid part.. That would be the Samsung flip on t-mobile.com

The coverage for 3G/4G is the same, the difference is in speed.
