I have an iPhone 4S. One thing I noticed was that when being charged with a charger, it goes to 100%. Then after some time even as it is pugged in, it comes down to 92% or so. So it drains even when plugged in. After that I unplug the charger and connect it to the phone. It charges back to 100%.
Has anyone else noticed this issue?
Sounds odd to me... Is the phone hot? The charging system with shut down to protect the phone and battery if the phone gets too hot.
The only other time I have seen a negative charge is when using a car addaptor with the gps, bluetooth and tethering active all at once since the car addaptors normally deliver less power than the AC one.
I've had same issue I let it charge overnight and wake up to it being at 97 or 98 %.. Hasn't happened last couple days hope it doesn't happen anymore either lol
The iPhone should, at times, cycle the cells in order to keep the batteries fresh, but it should be virtually transparent to the end user. Barring heat issues ( leaving it on a hot, sunlight, or cramped surface ) and happening on more than a random occasion I would bring it back in to Apple to diagnose, but I'm guessing it's got a bad battery and needs to be replaced.
My 3GS sometimes will show 99% when I unplug it from the charger in the morning, but most times it's at 100% and stays there for a bit if I use it in the morning.
Doesn't really have anything to do with the 4S but yes I have seen an iPhone not be at 100% after charging overnight.
I bought my iPhone 4S ten days ago. It will not hold a charge... At 6AM today it was at 100 percent. At noon, with little use (just sitting on my desk), it was at 44 percent. And it feels hot to the touch. I've turned off many applications/notifications/WiFi, etc. as advised, but this is crazy! Any suggestions?
I noticed the same thing with my 4S as well. Recently I noticed that it was dropping down to 92%. It has only done that once where as before it was going down to 96%.
