    iOS 5 call issues

i have noticed that on my phone 4s, maybe 20% of the calls made or received, will become muted... and the caller cannot hear me. Sometimes pressing speakerphone in time will alleviate it. There seems to be no fix, restoring as a new phone did nothing. But i noticed on apples forum people discussed this a little more, and few members had gotten exchanges and still had the issue. Anyone notice this? hoping for a update

    That link isn't working.

Here is Apple's "Calls and connection issues" troubleshooting web page:

A: No, I would treat her as an equal.

Dunno man, it's working for me. It's a 12 page thread on this issue. It is occurring with a number of people with varying answers from apple stores ranging from it's a hardware problem to it's a software problem to we've never heard of that problem. Many people have gotten replacement phones. My sons phone is experiencing this, but my other 3 are not (at this point).

I am experiencing the same problem too. Sometime speaker phone will turn on automatically when I make a call.

In your case it sounds like the proximity sensor isn't being triggered and the screen is still on so your cheek touches the speakerphone icon.

Do you have a case on your phone that covers ANY part of the front screen?

I do have a case, but the case doesn't cover the proximity sensor at the front. I also have a screen protector at the front. According to the official apple forum listed above, some people do experience the exact same problem.
