Staying in Toronto for a few days - ideal service/SIM card for calls and browsing?
I first thought of Telus but remembered that Telus uses CDMA.
I'm using an unlocked 3G iPhone. I'm wondering if there's anything like T-mobile where I can buy just the SIM card and then pay by the day for calls and data (browsing/internet). I've only looked at Rogers so far. I can't see info on their website about buying just the SIM card but I saw Rogers prepaid SIM cards for sale on eBay. Are those real? I would like to buy the SIM card while I'm in the US so I can activate the card and have a functioning phone on the day I get to Toronto. I'm assuming that I can activate the Rogers SIM card in the USA just like I was able to activate a T-mobile card in Canada since Rogers has roaming in the US.
Aside from Rogers, are there any other cellphone service providers I should be looking at?
Telus and bell use hspa now so you do have more options. Look up those , virgin mobile , fido. You could order a sim from ebay but expect to wait about a week to reach you
