Apple apparently investigating iPhone 4S battery life complaints

Apparently customers are being contacted by Apple engineers to try and sort out how some users are getting awful battery life.

Originating from the The Guardian and then picked up by various other blogs like TIPB

This thread has some discussion material about the issue at hand over at Apple.

What remains to be seen is if there is an actual issue. Or is this a case of faster processor, more apps, same battery that is plaguing the BlackBerry 9900. Actually, the BlackBerry 9900's battery is 1230mah vs the 9780's 1500mah.

    What do you guys think?
Will software fix this, or it is all justified on Siri and the increased specs

It's hard to say. I watch my battery more now then I did with my iPhone 4. Maybe they can do something with a software upgrade to help it a bit more?

Since they stated it would last a little longer I'm disappointed I'm getting shorter battery time. Hopefully this can be addressed in the next software update and its not a hardware issue.
