I will be heading to Toronto on Sunday. Last time I went to Toronto I had no service. I'm looking for advice or alternative for what I should do for phone service or what I need to do to get ST to work. I'm only going for a day.
Thanks.

Both T-mobile prepaid and GoPhone roam in Canada, so those would work there in Toronto.
What phone do you have?
If its not the ST phone but not unlocked, your limited to AT&T GoPhone, which as jboard says does roam in Canada. Just be aware its $0.25/min and per text, and data is about $20/MB ($0.0195/KB). You can walk into an AT&T store to get a GoPhone SIM/service.
If its unlocked, you can get a Prepaid SIM from any one of the carriers in Canda (ie Bell, Rogers, etc) or buy a T-Mobile Prepaid SIM/service here in the US from any T-Mobile store. T-Mobile Prepaid roaming isn't cheap either; its likely that a Canadian prepaid SIM will be the cheaper route.

If buying a prepaid SIM in Canada please stay away from wind mobile and moblicity because these two carriers use frequencies (AWS 1700/2100) which your phone does not support. The exceptions are T-mobile phones because their 3G signal uses the AWS frequency.
The Original Poster did not say what phone he is using. Since the Straight Talk service does work in Canada, there are no choices to use with this carrier. The Original Poster's profile indicates Sprint, so he would have get a GSM phone with service which would work in Canada. Is it really worth the effort for one day there?

First of thaks for all the replies. I had know I deal you all replied. I didn't receive an email verification. It was worth it because last time i used a pay phone to call my wife and kids and it cost me a pretty penny to call back to the states. I have an HTC Inspire. I ended up going to Rogres and getting a SIM card and got my phone unlocked.
