The HTC Vivid is a new Android LTE powered phone. It has a dual core 1.2Ghz processor, 4.5" qHD display and a 8 MP camera. It will be available November 6th for $199.99.
Today HTC announced the HTC Vivid, one of the first Android smartphones available on AT&T’s LTE network, just in time for the holidays. Thanks to the dual core 1.2 GHz processor, browsing the web, listening to music, and downloading apps is a snap on the brilliant 4.5 inch qHD display, allowing you to do more - faster.
Multitask efficiently---browse the web while streaming video to your TV wirelessly, with zero wait time and no buffering. The AT&T 4G LTE service will launch Nov. 6 in Boston, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Indianapolis and Athens, Georgia. AT&T offers the only smartphones that are able to utilize both the LTE and HSPA+ 4G speeds, for a consistently fast connection in and out of LTE areas.
“We are thrilled to continue growing our relationship with AT&T and excited for the HTC Vivid to be one of the first LTE devices on AT&T for the holiday season,” said Jason Mackenzie, president of global sales and marketing, HTC. “The HTC Vivid combines an exceptional display in a premium device that delivers a powerful smartphone to our customers through AT&T’s fast LTE and HSPA+ 4G network.”
HTC Vivid is equipped with the acclaimed HTC Sense user experience, which includes a customizable active lockscreen that puts the most important information and content, such as social updates, photos, weather or stock updates, at the forefront. Complete with an 8MP camera and dual microphones, you can record video in 1080p HD quality with surround sound and upload to YouTube to share with those closest to you. The camera records in high speed with 60 fps, and you can use the HTC movie Editor to clip and manage your video – all on your phone.
The HTC Vivid will arrive in AT&T company owned retail stores and online Nov. 6 for $199.99 with a two-year commitment.

Not bad at all.
I want to see this phone next to the atrix 2. So far the Atrix 2 has the most amazing screen even next to the SGS2.

See the phone first hand!
I hope it has NFC
If it doesn't have NFC then forget it.
At this point a phone not having NFC is like a phone not having a built in mine detector. It's a non issue. It should be a great device.
I disagree because although NFC might be something you can not use today, if you are getting a phone today that you'll be stuck with for almost 2 years before you can get full upgrade discount again, then it better have NFC because NFC is going to be in stores everywhere in less than a year. And ISIS will launch soon too.
By the way every Android phone can have a mine detector...it is called Minesweeper...get it on the Android Market.

Two questions, so first, does the phone have NFC? And second, will we be able to keep our unlimited data plans if we upgrade? Thanks!
