You could travel and bit and not blow through the limit. It's clearly not for heavy cellular users who are constantly traveling though. There are a LOT of people who don't use their cell phones much outside of home or work, and would be MORE than covered by the usage allowances on this service. Plus, you can go over once in a while and they won't kick you off. So if you travel now and then and burn though the minutes, it wouldn't be an issue. Plus, for personal travel, if you're visiting people, you could always just use their wifi.
I usually support government regulation, but It is unfortunate that the government over-regulated and killed the AT&T/ T-Mobile Merger
The best explanation of the pricing nutiness in the industry.
Why Sprint and T-Mo will always suck.
The only way to end the pricing insanity is to eliminate contracts and subsidies.
I want Wifi calling on AT&T.
If you text while driving, you're an idiot. End of story.

If a user uses 1 gig of wifi at home or around town how much cellular service does that equate to in Min of talk, number of text and megs of 3Gdata?
They must have a breakdown laid out by the number and that breakdown would help clear up a great deal of uncertainty here and in the public eye.
Spot on. I am wondering the same sort of things? If I can use 550 cellular minutes with no wifi, can I use 1550 cellular minutes if I also use 1000 wifi minutes? Or if I can use 300mb cellular data alone, can I use 5300 cellular mb if I also use 5000 wifi mb? What is the ratio at which wifi legitimizes more cell use? And are the stated limits monthly or weekly?

That doesn't make any sense. Wifi offloading effectively brings the cost to zero for them, so it's probably based on an actual amount of Sprint offloading.

Yes, I confirmed my order today on the MyAccount feature, with an estimated shipping date of December 22nd. I've been staying up-to-date with them via Facebook, Twitter, and their blog. Thus, if you (or anyone else) has any questions... please let me know. I'll do my best to answer them.
T-Mobile. Connecting you when you need it most... disconnecting you when you need to connect with God's beautiful creation! Service is great in cities and highways, but in rural areas they leave you with just your surroundings. I encourage you to get T-Mobile, disconnect for a while!

I am glad that God is not like cell phone coverage. He does not hide behind mountains or loose us down long windy roads. The Lord levels mountains, and He makes our paths straight!

Yes, to what extent does using wifi increase the amount of cellular allowed? They imply it does. Or is the real truth that the cellular limits of 550 min 150 text, 300 data do not increase with wifi use, but instead are only conserved by use of wifi? Also are those limits per month or per week?

Nobody can say what isn't known yet, but I don't think they are lying. They are part of the biggest VOIP/data network there is! Google Bandwidth.com

Most likely just conservation. Think about it: Sprint isn't going to give them a lower rate just because they are running more traffic through their own network!!!

Whoa!!!! Bandwidth.com is owned by Google?
Where and when did that happen. Out of all the web pages I have read, Republics sight, article after article, it was never noted that Bandwidth.com is owned by Google.
Can you provide more information on this?

Thanks for the correction, but really, if you don't know what the term Google is by now, go fish, and yes I don't really mean fish. LOL

Ah!. I did a search for Google buying Bandwidth.com and found nothing. I was wondering if Google was in the midst of starting a MVNO to get in to the actual cell business rather than buying one out.

Seems like if Google were to do that they could take advantage of their massive dark fiber network by setting up wifi hotspots all over the country and then have the phones do the same as the RW phones. They would use the GHSs (Google Hot Spots) for wifi service when in range and then bounce over to a cell tower when not in range. It would be a MVNO for sure but it is something that Google could do and I was wondering if they had done it.
