The data is fast, very fast. I never really felt that the Virgin data was as bad as everybody let on, but my main points of comparison were Sprint contract service and Verizon via Page Plus, I now see the point that so many are making, Virgin Mobile has slow poke data. I am going to take the Sparq I bought for my daughter to try out the service with (will be buying her an Android once we port her number over), and see how it works out while I am working, if it works well where I need it (all over Burke County, GA), I may switch from Page Plus to one of the T-Mobile unlimited plans. Of course the real test will be when I go to Jenkins and Screven Counties.
Have you been through Harlem area to see how it works here? Looking at the coverage map my house is just outside the coverage area, but hoping they just have not updated their maps yet. I live in the area behind Starling Funeral home.

Here either. It may be to soon to find them. This seems to be a popular phone so far, so I would expect them shortly.

Got my Exhibit II 4G three days ago with $30/month 5GB+100min plan. Pretty happy with everything except a few times each day my 4G data connection just disappears. I can't reliably reproduce it but seems to happen during periods of inactivity (such as when viewing PDF instead of being online). Sometimes the bars dissappear too, sometimes only 4G goes away and the bars stay. The way I get it back is by toggling Flight mode and/or Wi-Fi on and off; it takes a minute or two usually. This is a problem for me since I'm pretty busy and my business requires an always-connected app most of the day.

I am in Dallas metro area, firmly in 4G area with good to very good reception according to T-Mo's maps. Usually have 4 bars, occasionally 3 bars. Speedtest gets around 3.5mbps down, 1.2up when 4G is working fine.

Any idea what's going on and how to fix it? If dropping 4G is some kind of battery-saving feature then I really need to disable it. Thank you.
I had that problem with Optimus V when I first got it. Download Restart Connection from market. Works like a charm. Whatever it was with VM it is fixed now, have not had dropped connection for five or six months.

PhoneArena listed this feature on this phone. However, I can't find the haptic feedback settings on this phone. Does it have this feature at all? So far, there is no haptic feedback whatsoever on this phone. It is a deal breaker for me if this phone doesn't have haptic feedback.

Can't find it either, but there is this in the Market https://market.android.com/details?i...lyd2lkZ2V0cyJd. It costs 2 bucks but it gives you that control and a lot more.
There is this one and it is free and it also controls HFB https://market.android.com/details?i...BhcmVwYXJ0cyJd

Never even thought about HFB, I'm so happy with the phone in every other way that it didn't cross my mind.
But if you need to control it, there ya go.

Thanks for the app links. It is weird that a smartphone in this age and stage doesn't have haptic feedback feature out of the box.

True, I have noticed that of the 5 android phones I have purchased in the last 5 or so months is that the available settings in settings differ greatly, and things you would expect to find, things that seem like a given, just aren't there.
That is the beauty of the Market, there are apps there that give us great access to things buried in the Android OS that are not shown from the get go.
I sometimes wonder why, with all the BS app crap that these phones sometimes do come with, why the manufacturers don't talk to the app makers in the market and just include some of these apps on the phones to start with.
It would save them tremendous amounts of time, and save their customers time and headaches galore.

Unfortunately I haven't been through Harlem at all in a long time. I live off of Hwy56 almost to the Burke County line. I was in Grovetown this weekend, and my wife's phone was working fine there, but we were right by the interstate, the closest I have been to your area is the I20 exit.

Is the internal RAM 512MB? I only saw 356MB in mine.

Mine shows exactly like yours, and I thought the same thing but I was told this:
"It doesn't show you the part of the RAM used for core system processes. So the system uses around 150MB of the 512."
I still wish it would show 512 total and include the amount used for system processes.

I tried the Spare Parts Plus, even though it has the haptic feedback settings, and even I enabled it, this phone still doesn't have haptic feedback. I didn't try the paid app you recommended.

So looks like to me this phone just doesn't have the haptic feedback feature after all.

Haptic feedback was probably left out for cost savings. I personally don't use it on my phones, it uses too much battery, space, and adds to cost (it needs a tiny motor inside). Other popular cost-saving measures are light sensors for auto-brightness, LED msg indicator lights, trackball, even hardware keyboards & buttons like in a lot of newer phones.

Hello everyone newsauce here; with several questions.

Can the mytouch 4g be used for tethering with this prepaid plan? Considering getting one from craiglist or buying the exhibit from walmart. And if I get google voice to try and save minutes should I port my number or get assigned a new one? I've been living under a rock so all of this is like a new language for me....

From reading the forums I gather that the mytouch 4G has the hotspot tethering available out of the box. On the Exhibit II you will have to root and disable a tethering monitor service (it may require buying an app to do that)
