In fact, we got rid of a few. I'm so frustrated that my cell phone service USED to work where I live but now it DOESN'T!
They just fool you around and try to blame on something else that affect their service quality...that is traditional Rogers!

The same thing happened when they first tried to increase HUP eligibility to 30 months. They were ridiculed on international tech sites and quickly backtracked (although they introduced it again later, but it didn't get the attention the second time around and so it has stayed).

Rogers is the type of company that tends to ignore customer complaints unless those complaints generate a ton of bad press and attention. Maybe if a site like mobilesyrup.com or BGR (unlikely a US site will care) does a major story on it and it starts to trend and maybe makes mainstream media, then Rogers might take some sort of action.

Hitting them in the wallet is best of course, but major negative press can have similar consequences.
I agree with you. At least we should do something. That's why I mention only me can't do it. Let's get together and complaint. We spend money and we are consumer.

it is funny that one time I had a problem with the internet and back then I just purchased a new laptop so it was not even 1 day old and the internet went down! they were like its your PC you have a virus, or you have a firewall or this or that

I was like whats your fax # so I can fax you the receipt of my new PC that was just purchased 2-3 hours ago! they ended up sending a tech the next day!

they WILL NEVER stand up and be like its our fault NEVER

Oh, really. That is what I told them that I stand beside my windows. I am located at Downtown Toronto and I don't believe I have to do that in the best coverage area in Canada (I believe base on population) and I am in the heart of Downtown. Then, Rogers answered me that is still indoor and they can't promise indoor signal...what a joke...!!! They must have a list of possibility for Q&A for their customer service rep.

There are no point to test any other phones. It is Rogers problem no doubt. I have tried different phone with different network SIM card. Result, Bell and Telus have no problem.

The problem is 3G-2G is their is no way to disable 2G drop downs. If a edge network is stronger it will switch to that, many times on the highway my iPhone will drop 3G and stay on edge all the way. Unless their is an option to disable edge,it will drop to it when 3G isn't strong enough.

    Bell and telus don't have 2G fall-backs.

Forget about 2G, I am just talking about 3G between Rogers, Bell and Telus. It sounds Rogers is so strong to also has 2G for back up. But now Rogers seems like 3G is the back up and mainly relied on 2G.

My problem is not even that it falls back on 2G, it's that it cuts both 3G and 2G while on a call. This is so frustrating!!!

I have a plan that has unlimited everything but having a hard time racking up the minutes with all the missed calls

Is rogers doing upgrades to service?

I ask this question because for the past 3 days, my signal on my iphone cuts out, comes back, then when i try to make a call it cuts out again. THis is getting very frustrating as I need my phone for work and all day today I havent been able to receive or make a phone call. Does anyone know whats up? or is my phone toast?

I dont see how my phone could be toast if it gets signal then it goes away and then goes back to searching for 10 minutes. And yes I am not in any dead zone.

All Rogers, the network is very crappy now. Downtown Toronto when I talk on the phone it always drops down to just GSM service. And I drop calls all the time now too.
