going from rumor touch to optimus slider (my first android phone) - text question

One of the features that I miss from my rumor touch are my pop up bubbles that I get when a text message or a missed call comes in. Is there an app that would mimic such a thing on android? Thank you very much.

I use Handcent SMS for texting and it has nice notifications. Some people like Notification Bubbles but I haven't tried that. Go Launcher EX has GO Launcher EX Notification that may work for you (I prefer ADW launcher, but use both on and off). Just try a few apps and find that fits the best

The link you posted showed a great many things, which of them precisely is the app the OP was asking about?

Ok those are nice but I thought I read in the Go SMS info page that this text app had to be on both phones, sending and receiving.
Is this true? or can you just install it on your phone and use it one sided?

Go sms can be used by itself, by 1 user.

Great suggestion guys. Go SMS pro looks good and simplifies the overly complicated mess of a texting app on HTC phones.
