    Spy software on Blackberry Bold?

My girlfriend has all of my text messages word for word. I have a blackberry bold through Verizon. No idea how she tapped my phone or got the info from Verizon? Are any of these possible? If so what can I do to stop this from happening.

Its easy to install spy software it only takes an few mins and she downloaded it on to your phone and it wont show up if you look for it on the phone. The only way to get rid of it is to factory reset the phone, I know this because my brother had installed spy software on his girls phone.

Have you looked on your phone for any possible apps that you didn't install. Be sure to check the hidden ones. If you find nothing, the chances that there is "spy software" on the device is slim. Be sure to check the application list, not just the icons.

Her friend works for Verizon, so is there any possibility they could have done that? Can't find any applications in my phone that seem odd that I didn't install myself.

Verizon probably has a record of them but would not release to anyone (including you) without a court order.

Carriers keep records of all TMs in case of criminal cases and the data is needed by law enforcement, with a subpoena.

def spy software no way possible to get the text messages itself. only thing she can get if her friend at verizon tapped into your account is the text messeges you sent and received to a certain number and the time, but not the text(words) itself.
If I were you I backup my contacts and do factory reset on the phone and then put a strong password on the phone.

Yes, I am looking for solutions to overcome the spy software on my phone too, but I don't want to factory reset it, because I will lose all the data.

What makes you think that you have "spy software" on your phone? You can make a back up, and not lose all of the data. Hook it up to Desktop Manager, and follow the instructions.

I'd be asking her why she has them, and how she got them. That's just too weird for me.

Spy software? Nope. The blackberry app store requires authorization from RIM for new apps to be placed in their store. A company dedicated to device security would hardly consider allowing a "spy" app prudent. More than likely, she jacked your phone, read the messages, maybe wrote some down. Alternatively, if you had backed your phone up on a computer she may have access to... Maybe she restored a backup on another phone?

As far as the carrier is concerned.. I can't speak for Verizon. However, as a Canadian Telecom rep, I can say that frontline reps do NOT have access to peoples text messages. If he works for a DNA department or something similar, he probably does have access, however.

I'm pretty sure in the past I have seen some expensive (Fairly expensive if I recall) that is used for this spy purposes. It is mainly advertised in order to catch your cheating spouse or something like that. I would wipe the phone and re install the software so you have a fresh set of applications.

When I worked for Telus, I could get into a clients account, and see text messages, and associated data. I wasn't DNA at that time, either.
