What happen to the interface? somehow I like the old one better lol, it's very distinct from other forums. Does anyone have screenshot of the old interface and HoFo logo?

I guess I've been on here close to that, 7 years coming up in a couple of months, and like others it's been a long while since I was a regular on here. I came to here b/c I was selling for Verizon at the time and needed to know the latest on phones, and from there it kinda grew on me. I remember learning about 3gp encoding and started putting TV show clips on my Motorola E850, back when EVDO and V-Cast was just coming out and it was a huge deal--not every place had EV coverage so who was getting towers when was all the buzz. Then my wife needed a way to keep up with email and such so we got her a used BB7350 and activated it. Then I got my own 7130 so I could be her tech support, learning stuff as I went along. All these years later and neither her nor I have owned any phone that isn't a Blackberry ever since.

It's kinda weird how message boards for me were and in many instances still are a means of education, the way I could talk to people and find out stuff that nobody local who I knew would know. The more I came to ask questions this way and seek out knowledge, the more I became reliant on it and found more appeal with those talking about what I was looking for and that I could find them more easily than by local means.

I remember posting play by play commentary on my wedding day here, that's how much of a social place this was for me.

Going be 9 years come this fall. Crazy how much cell phones have changed and the layout of HF. I remember when Nokia N85, N95 were the hottest phones before this whole smart-phone craze. Things were simpler back then.

I don't visit the forum as much as I use to. A lot of people have left. Crazy how active this forum use to be.

Hi there I'm suckcess, a female member for 10 years and 3 days - mostly as a lurker. Thank you Howard for howardchui.com and the HoFo. Your sites and others like Steve Punter's and GeckoBeach provided a plethora of information over the years. I really appreciate all the dedication and effort you and members put into this and the time and money I saved. Still sucks that a decade later Canadians are still getting shafted by Robellus who continue to thwart new entrants. Who would have thought that people would sell their organs for phones? Or that many prefer texting over face to face or phone conversations. Or that 100+ people have died earning a little more than minimum wage erecting cell sites. I hope the forum continues for a long while and I wish you the best.
