VZ Samsung Stratosphere 4G on PP+?

Any one successfully activate the Stratosphere 4G on PP+? I know I won't get 4G speed but just want to know if this can be activate or not. TIA.

Working on getting a droid bionic to work now (also 4g lte).

Its very involved and you need some certain programs...

I ALMOST have mine working but when I dial a number I get a spanish message.

I also do not know what ROLE the 4g LTE sim card plays for instance my bionic did not have a sim card and I stuck in an older verizon sim card (from a blackberry storm 1) I have done everything needed to make it work and turned off the 4glte as far as I can tell, but still not working.

My next goal is to score a 4g LTE sim card to use but still NOT SURE if it can be unactivated or if activated if it can be rewrote....

Know that by getting this phone you may spend lots of time making it work...and whatever you find out please share

I have this phone and also want to get it to work with PP. I'm gathering info right now but for now I'm stuck with CDMA-WARE, I can see phone, can connect to COM port with it but I can't read or write to from/to it. I need to put it to Diag Mode but I can't find any information how to do so. If anybody have this info please share.

I will share my findings and progress here in case if anybody else want to do the same.

I have read all over the net and from what I can tell. You do need a NEW blank 4G SIM because the system activates it OTA and writes it based on you IMEI on file with PP. Which you use the first 14 digits of the IMEI as your MEID/ESN number with PP. So I think that is the missing piece of info. Need a new SIM. I have not had success getting OTA to reprogram my existing SIM. My IMEI was 990001183610XXX so I just took the last digit off and made it a 14 ESN when activate through PP. You do need to flash the PRL (15720 works great). Flash this with the FREE version of CDMA workshop 3.8 make sure you are under COM 10.

1.get a 4glte sim card.

2. factory data reset phone

3. Activate phone by using the first 15 characters of the imei (drop 1 character from the end)

4. Push pageplus prl to phone. (I do not know how to link download files to this forum yet)

I used cdma workshop 3.8 demo version

A.put phone in diagnostic mode power off, hold up and down buttons and power back on, select bp tools at the bottom by button down to it and button up to select bp tools

B. Connect phone to computer open up cdma workshop go to ports and select the one that says diag it should be the one at the bottom.

C. Click connect to connect phone

D. Go to main tab click spc send 000000 to unlock phone, go to other tab to load pageplus prl to phone, select write and find your prl file and it should write it to the phone.

5. Insert sim card.

6. Restart phone. Phone should OTA program.
7. dial *#*#4636#*#* go to phone information go to cdma auto prl and change it to cdma only

Back out of that

8. dial ##program go to test mode next over to evrc hdr hybrid mode change network type to cdma and back out phone will restart

(check menu/settings/phone status make sure mobile network type says CDMA 1xrtt and you have 1x data)

9. dial *#*#4636#*#* go to phone information go to cdma and change it to cdma auto prl

Back out of that

10. Power down and remove sim card and power up.

11. dial ##program go to test mode next over to evrc hdr hybrid mode change network type to cdma and evdo phone will restart

(check menu/settings/phone status make sure mobile network type says CDMA EvDo rev A. if it says eHRPD redo steps 10-14.)

12. dial *#*#4636#*#* go to phone information go to cdma auto prl and change it to unknown

Back out of that

(check menu/settings/phone status make sure mobile network type says CDMA EvDo rev A. if it says eHRPD redo steps 10-15.)

13. Power down phone, replace sim card power up you should have 3g and talk and text

Problem is that *#*#4636#*#* and ##program don't do anything for Stratosphere, I can try anyway, I've got few other commands that can possibly replace those two. Will let you all guys know my progress.

Were you ever able to put the stratosphere on PP? I want to also do the same

Nope. I just sell it and bought other phone...
