Motorola: DST Bug May Cause Battery Life Issues With Android 2.3
From Motorola's Twitter Page :
Some users with Motorola smartphones on Android 2.3 may experience battery life issues after DST ends -- rebooting fixes the issue.

Might explain why my Milestone went from full charge to 14% in under an hour. It's running a custom rom (2.3.7), however, so not sure if this is exclusive to Motorola phones or something wrong with Android itself.
