In theory, that should work no problem. Why not just give it a try?

Hello,
I have a question that I can not find an answer to here. I did search but maybe I'm not using the correct terms.
I have a jailbroken 3GS and I just bought a new 4S. I want to take my 4S back and get a Samsung Galaxy ll. I took my 3GS sim and cut it down to work with the 4S and it worked perfect.
If I get the Galaxy ll can I just put in my 3GS sim (with adapter now) and it will work? I know it will physically but as far as AT and T is concerned will they let it work. I have a grandfathered unlimited iPhone data plan and I didn't know if the Galaxy ll required another type data plan or sim card for that matter.
Also can I swap the old 3GS sim back and forth between the two phones??
Sorry if these are stupid questions but I wanted to find out before I proceed.
Thanks

It's not a stupid question if you don't know the answer.
I think it should work as well but I'd hate to tell you yes and have you go out and buy your galaxy 2 for it to not work. Why not take your sim to an at&t store and ask the employees if you can try your sim on a floor model?
When you receive a new phone from the carrier, a new SIM card will be included. There is no need to recycle an old SIM card. The data plan follows the phone. As long as you replace one smartphone with another, you can keep your unlimited data plan.
