I want to get a Motorola Defy. I no longer see them on the T-Mobile webpage, but I did call T-Mobile Customer Care and they offer a refurbished Defy for $279.99 with the least expensive shipping at $5.99. It only has a 90 day warranty, however. It sounds like it is a better deal than Amazon, which has it for about $300, but no warranty! Anyway, I haven't been able to find many posts here about the Defy. Can I do better on price somewhere or is $279.99 for a refurbished unit reasonable? Also, are there any reasons to shy away from a refurbished unit?
did you check your mytmobile.com upgrade price? Are you currently not eligible for the full 2 yr discount? I got the defy for about $50 a yr ago....so the price should be around there or less for a full discount. Otherwise if you're not eligible for a discount, it prob costs that price.
T-Mobile refurbs tend to be decent. But I would look into eBay or the like because $279.99 is a bit steep.
