Heard this was a pressure sensitive type screen. Any confirmation on that ?
Probably still worth the $35 bucks right to use for say a home phone line?

Does anyone know what towers this phone uses through Straight Talk??

You did see the ad right that was posted by The_Sweeper right? It is coming out for Straight Talk and the model number EX124G does indicate that it would be a GSM carrier like jebr mentioned.
Err....yeah....ditto what he said. Read the entire first post before responding next time. It will be either Tmobile or ATT...they do use both.
sent from my Straight Talk Samsung Infuse 4G using the Howard Forums app

What's people's take on them showing the $45 service card? Do you think its going to be a phone that's required to use the $45 card?
Would be a good phone for a middle schooler? (I still can't believe I HAVE a middle schooler)
I didn't want to get him an android phone because I don't want him to have full internet access on a phone. I think simple mobile web that could access things like Google, Facebook and maybe even Youtube mobile would be sufficient for him.
I'm trying to find reviews but most of them are for India. Guess that's where this phone was first launched.
If not this, can anyone recommend anything else on ST?
I think this phone would be a great starter phone for a middle schooler but might also depend on the phone they had before(if they had one) or might have been used to using before. Texting for example, if all they are used to T9 type texting then with the full keyboard they would probably love it. There is the issue that I had asked about and that is the pressure sensitive type screen.
From the videos I've seen it does seem a bit cumbersome, but I'm used to an iPhone.
I think for the price and for a 1st time phone for a middle schooler it would be a great phone.
For me I'm going to get it and switch out a crappy flip phone I got last year on Black Friday and use it just as a home phone, that won't do much other than make and receive phone calls.
I'm thinking about picking it up if they have it at my local wal-mart just to try out the AT&T service
The wal-mart employees tell everyone they only have ONE phone that works with Verizon networks and all the other phones do not wok in our area... because they use AT&T
Strange thing is they told me the the Samsung R355C uses AT&T.. and they had some other phones with the "C" in them
As I'm typing them I am realizing I got the LG 290C Reconditioned and LG 620G Reconditioned mixed up and ordered the G
So I guess I will find out how good the AT&T service is in my area sooner than I thought. fml
It is my belief, and I have no proof of this, that the CDMA only markets will have the Samsung R375C available for $35 on Black Friday. I say this because last year, the ad only mentioned the T-255G but in CDMA markets, the 231C was available.
But that's not a pretty touchscreen! LOL
We'll see how GSM works in my area, if it is good I might just go for the sim swap
Wishing they had the E5 for sale on black friday![]()
