I can't speak to the RAZR, but I can say I was pleasantly surprised when my Rezound worked well in my basement. The original Droid I upgraded from never did. I had been reconsidering the RAZR (I can still return the Rezound) because, as a practical matter, I don't know if I want the bulk of the extended battery. But I don't want the bulk of the extra width either. Decisions decisions...

Do you have any other purpose on the board here other than stirring **** around? I've seen you take a big giant dump on every phone scheduled to come out in the next 6 months, at one point or another. You, yourself, were complaining about having stuff shoved down your throat in the D4 thread and now you act like you don't care and start bashing on the Bionic. What is your deal?
This is posted on the D4 thread. It also applies here.
OK. I think I'm starting to be able to piece together this battery puzzle. True polymer batteries are super, except they have to stay really hot to work well. The RAZR & D4 will use a foil pouch Lithium-hybrid polymer design. As such it has no significant performance advantage over regular Lithium ion batteries. What makes it useful in a handheld device is that it can be made really skinny. Since the hybrid battery is soft, you can break it. That's one reason to lock it away. Another reason is that polymer hybrid Li-ion batteries are more prone to gassing, so Motorola may have felt that double covers would better resist its ballooning tendencies. However, nobody wants a battery you can't replace yourself, especially since Lithium batteries are known to start to degrade after a year or so, even if not in use. So we get a key and instructions on how to - carefully! - install a new battery when the original gets too weak. That new battery may be expensive since it's a new technology in low production.
Essentially, this is all being done just to make the phone a tad skinnier. There is no other performance benefit to the user. And you lose the ability to "just pull the battery" to reset the phone when it freezes or you're stuck trying to root it.
This is mostly supposition but it is consistent with what we do know.
Hope someone here finds this useful.

I didn't notice any screen problems until I start using netflix now I can see in any dark seen black dots all across my screen when I reported customer service they probly told me to remove the battery!?! Obviously they have no knowledge of the device I'm currently waiting to hear back from motorola to receive a replacement "new device" and not the "like new" referbished device verizon wants to send me... and how is it that verizon already has refurbished devices how many of you have already returned your droid razr

try un-checking everything in social location

try unchecking everything in social location, you cant uninstall or delete until rooted, I didn't use those programs and bat usage was running 30% for social location
No mention at all about the massive data outage Razr owners might be experiencing?

I know my LTE crapped out yesterday afternoon with that error and hasn't come back since. Some areas I still get 3g data, but some I get nothing on. I was waiting until I heard something more official before I headed out to the store to get a new SIM. I have a friend in a different state who had the same problem and swapping the SIM didn't resolve it.
