Every postpaid company inflates the price of their phones. The Optimus S was $350 without a contract when the $150 Optimus V was coming out.
So you might see the Blackberry Torch for $200-250 sometime in the future.
Although given my cranky prediction, the tack-on fees that no longer exist here and still exist on Boost means they'll never bother getting another Blackberry. But that's just my extreme pessimism there.

I've been lurking for a long time and decided to join.
I'd like to see a 4G Wi-Max phone on VM since Sprint has an agreement already with Clearwire.
As long as 4G was an add-on you could buy separately, that would be okay with me. VM screws up whenever they try bringing a new phone into their lineup, so leaving a device like the EVO 4G untouched would be great.
Unfortunately, if it meant paying another $25-$50/month prepaid I wouldn't be okay with it. Which is why making it an option (a big, expensive one) would be much better.
Last year the Optimus U was released to US Cellular before it came to VM as the Optimus V. Same thing is happening with Optimus Black.. just saw a screen shot of the LG Majestic at http://pocketnow.com/android/lg-maje...rst-press-shot.... Still no mention of when it will come to Virgin Mobile.
So first, the FCC filings, then Sprint & now US Cellular gets it, and given VM's usual Feb. time for new phones instead of the holidays, and it looks pretty convincing that it's coming to VM too.
I hope the optimus black comes to virgin mobile or something better

I wouldn’t want to jump on a VM 4g right now. From what I understand, Sprint is leaving wi-max, and going with LTE. Right now any phone that VM would have with 4g, would most likely be wi-max.
On a good note, it would be cool to see Clear Wire start leasing out its 4g wi-max, being that Sprint was their only big customer.
I hope VM comes out with a solid 4” phone soon….the new Boost 4” phone ZTE is getting pretty decent reviews (way better than the Triumph ever got), but I don’t want to leave my 25.00 plan…. The ZTE is getting more and more tempting, and there is no T-mobile by me
They need to get on the ball and release the OB already!
Does anyone think the LG Event on Dec 1 LG will now announce the LG Optimus Black for Virgin Mobile?!??
