Thank you! Why go prepaid when people our running out trying to get a 4s. that's nothing to pay full price when that same guy has a iphone 4 or open another line to get a phone with minor upgrades! We have gotten to a point were people just want to say "my phone is quad core" yet can't tell u what's the features between froyo or gingerbread. But off the rant box...... So how bout that optimus black for VM lol! Call me dumb but I have a feelin since boost is getting OB where getting something totally different!

That's a good opinion, but you seem to either not be aware of the earlier Optimus Black info including VM model number or are you guessing it was perhaps bound for another VM. You are not dumb, just ill informed.
Boost and VM have both shared devices in the past. BB 8530, Samsung (flip phone), LG (basic phone), etc., etc. Perhaps it's a sign of things to come in the near future for Sprint's in-house prepaid services.

Operating without a contract makes you far more valuable.
I know about the leak info found by a member about vm suppose to get OB (and still no offical word from vm) since boost just came out the blue with the OB could be that one of many things to come. But comparing a BB to android phone is like comparing apples to oranges....they have no choice if u want a BB gotta go to rim, since android is a OS there are many choices that VM have to choice from. Remember vm and boost are compeitiors regardless what tower they run from.
They could:
Have the OB on both providers (still think that vm has something up their sleeve)
Or
Throw something that will make people venture more toward them than boost with another bad sale postpaid android, or hit up companies for something new.
Or bring over window 7 phone to the prepaid side for a affordable price (I would jump on this as I want something else than android)

And now cricket is releasing a better version of the Motorola Triumph, which is a rebadged Huawei U9000 IDEOS X6, and calling it the Huawei Mercury, otherwise known as the Rumor.
Meanwhile VM is set to release two more laughable 600 mhz ZTE phones. One of which has been on Cricket's service for quite a while and is discounted to $79 currently.
Why can't VM release a 4"+ sized phone that actually works??? Why are they sticking with underpowered tiny (3.2" or 3.5") phones? Is Sprint actively trying to drive people away from VM?
I think sprint is trying to split Boost as the "higher priced" and VM as the lower priced offerings. Now the pricing structure on Boost encourages longer term clients with "shrinkage" and ofcourse higher end phones as well. IMHO if there is nothing announced by mid 2012 on VM (come on 6 months is long enough - after we suffer the 2 ZTE clown phones) there will be a bigger split and migration to Boost.
Not to mention the data caps coming to VM from what I hear.
The last thread was closed due to it going off topic, so before this one does I'm going to start a new thread where we can rant, rave, whine, sing praise, compare etc.
mod edited: this is not the Boost section, no need to post about new phones Boost is getting here

Exactly thank you. Well boost will most likley get the OB there still is a chance VM will too. VM customer pulse sent out a survey of what kind of phones we want and even the option for high end phones (windows 7, iphone, high end android) so i guess if people express that they want high end phones through the survey. We will get them in 2012.
So despite the rumors saying "VMUSA is slated to get this, the FCC says so!" it looks like Boost is definitely getting the OB. Which kinda begs the question, why didn't anybody figure out Boost was getting the Black via the FCC? Is the "VM" simply Sprint's prepaid calling card?
Optimus 2, maybe?
