Telus Milestone unlocked, what US carrier for vacation???

So I just unlocked my Telus Milestone for about $3 & change from someone on ebay.
I did this so I can take it on vacation and use it down there on a local carrier:

What would be the available/compatible US carriers for this phone?
(Ideally, a tier 1 carrier for nationwide service; although next vacation is specifically in Arizona)?

Can I get a prepaid package that includes some amount of data?

Any way to get the SIM and activate the pay-as-you-go account before my vacation?
Would I have to drive to Buffalo to do this or can I order something & have a SIM shipped to Canada?

    Regards,
    Colin

AT&T would be your best option. Telus HSPA phones (like the Milestone) will always use the 850/1900 MHz bands (AT&T 3G will support this). They also have good coverage in Arizona: http://www.wireless.att.com/coverage...111.3877&sci=3

They should have prepaid plans also.
