Early days for me but I think but Mytracks and Shazam-SoundHound are in my opinion the best. Could well change though after reading all of this thread.

To take off a apps defaults you need to go settings>apps>manage apps then you find that app and scroll down to "clear defaults ". Useful if you decide you want to use a launcher you gave buthave one already set on default.

Not an app, but I'm a fan of HD Widgets as a clock/weather widget. Looks good on phones and tablets.

I know there are many free "application makers" like Google supported ones for the android, but are there any that would be able to send an app that you make for free to both apple and android? Or are there any free application makers that are really effective and that given you the ownership?

My list would include the GO launcher and GO SMS Pro. I just love the customizations and chat option
I am also using Google Currents and often play around with Google Goggles.
I use evernote and dropbox for sync and storage of files and records.
Music is always at hand with the TuneIn Radio
I spend some free time with Sketchbook Express

My favorite app is Dindy, it is kind of your answering machine while you are busy, it send a text message to the caller, a message you can configure along with options for caller, texter and other options.

I also love SMS Scheduler, it allows you to send messages at a scheduled time. Good to set reminders for yourself, or to set a message for future so you don't miss your mom's birthday.

I like GO launchers, but I think they are too heavy. I decided to use the Android's default after a while.
