Galaxy Nexus Confirmed for Rogers in January

Hello fellow Samsung Galaxy Nexus followers.
Rogers has come out of the closet and announced that they will in fact be carrying the new Nexus phone with Android 4.0 ICS.

At 1:25pm pacific time, they announced via their twitter account 'RogersBuzz'
"We'll be adding the #Samsung Galaxy Nexus to our lineup this January! Reserve yours on our Reservation System tomorrow. ^mm"

who will be reserving this phone come tomorrow?!?! i know i will!!

Bell Mobility and Virgin Mobile also came out earlier in the day confirming that they will both carry the Nexus Galaxy. No word on a release date though

LOL... even less of a reason to wait for Rogers... I'll just buy it elsewhere... then at least I won't be tied into a contract again for upgrading.

Unless it comes with LTE to work on theirs - its might be worth to wait. IF it only comes out with HSPA+ pentaband - might as well buy it from Virgin and cancel the contract after one month.

The Virgin and Bell version of the Nexus comes out in early December. Rogers version comes out in Early January. You can't wait another 3-4 weeks?

4 weeks is a lifetime in the Android world. By January new devices will get announced ..and you'll want to wait for those

You'll want to wait anyways because it doesn't sound like any of the Galaxy Nexus launched in Canada are going to have LTE. Huge disappointment because if you want updates its Nexus or nothing, which means waiting a whole year for the next one.

Not interested in LTE at this point in time. Data plans don't suite me, my house is on fringe area so most likely no LTE and current gen of LTE chips isn't battery friendly just like 3G was at the beginning.

Because the HSPA bed is filling up with diarrhea on Rogers and Bell. Check my sig HSPA is *** during busy time now.

On Bell we can supposedly move data plans to LTE at no extra cost. That means all I need is an LTE device to get 6GB/$30 LTE goodness.

I don't know if I bother. I'm moving in January and will have a lot of expenses. I figured an early Christmas present would have been fine, but with this, I think I'll just wait for whatever the next one is in a year or so. Don't feel like dealing with getting it with another provider and cancelling. I'll just wait. My Nexus S is fine.
