got my fido GN last thursday. originally concord gave me a pair of shoes.. evidentally it was going to a shoe store in richmond hill.. went back to the depot and they gave me the phone so i was happy. not like ordering phones from china where they mail you shoes on purpose.

say it, don't spray it, i want the news, not the weather! (2ge+Her, boy band)
I recently put on the stock ROM (non Samsung) that put me to 4.0.2 and any future OTA updates will be directly from Google and not Samsung which means you will get updates much faster. Check XDA.
I just got a Nexus off someone and the screen is really...noisy(?). If it's at full brightness, it's fine, but at night it is so grainy. Is this normal or should I get it replaced? If replace, how do I go about replacing it since I didn't buy it (have the receipt). Also, does the phone register HSPA+? I seldomly see H on my phone...do I need a new SIM?
Still waiting, really upsetting what Google has done with the Nexus line. Essentially they have sold out to carrier pay offs. The whole point of the Nexus is updates from Google, now we get regional releases. So when Rogers gets around to it we will see an update. I know how that's going to turn out.
Mikey: Look, we're gonna spend half the night driving around the Hills looking for this one party and you're going to say it sucks and we're all gonna leave and then we're gonna go look for this other party. But all the parties and all the bars, they all suck. I spend half the night talking to some girl who's looking around the room to see if there's somebody else who's more important she should be talking to. And it's like I'm supposed to be all happy 'cause she's wearing a backpack, you know? And half of them are just nasty skanks who wouldn't be nothing except they're surrounded by a bunch of drunken horny ×××××××s. And I'm gonna tell you something T. Are you listening?
Trent: Yeah, I'm listening.
Mikey: I'm not gonna be one of those ×××××××s. Alright? It just makes me sick. It's like, some nasty skank who isn't half the woman my girlfriend is, is gonna front me? It makes me want to ××××in' puke!
What I meant to say is that your link refers to flashing a pure Google ROM (unmolested by Samsung). That is the yakju version.
This means any new OTA updates from Google themselves will trigger an update with phones using the yakju ROM, and hence no waiting around for Samsung to do what they have to do to the ROM before releasing their update which could be months later.

That is NOT why my link refers to. It links to a thread that has a list of OTA updates for each version: yakju, yakjuux, etc. You apply the correct OTA update to your specific ROM. These are OTA updates which update specific ROMs to newer version. They do NOT flash a different version...
