How do I stop Facebook notifications on my iPhone 4?

How do I prevent these from showing up:

I have turned off notifications within the Facebook mobile app, as well as within the Notifications center, and turned off notificationas for Zynga within the Facebook desktop settings. I CANNOT stop these from popping up on my phone. Where is this controlled?

    Thanks in advance!

Third thread on this topic. Go to settings then scroll down to Facebook (do NOT go to notifications, JUST in the first settings screen) then turn off any and all notifications in Push Notifications section you don't want to recieve

I think you may be right. There does seem to be some sort of bug where, once you have granted an app permission to give you Push Notifications, it seems impossible to revoke it. I had this sort of problem with Groupon to the point that I finally just deleted the app.

I'm curious what might happen if you completely deleted the app, reinstalled it, and never granted it permission in the first place, but at the moment I'm not curious enough to try it myself.

I don't think there is an other way, other than disabling these notifications from Facebook and then they should stop arriving to your iPhone, here is how:

    Click on "See all notifications"
Place your cursor (arrow) over the farmville notification
A "X" button will appear in the upper right hand corner of the post. Click "X"
Select "Change app settings" and then click on "Never".
