I played around with Barnacle. Choosing Skip wpa_supplicant at least allowed my computer to SEE the phone, but connecting was not possible.

Wireless Tether and OpenGarden have never worked for me on any phone in the past. Not surprisingly, they did not work on the Slider either.

The stock Wireless Tethering option is hidden, but it is either immediately disabled or 3G connectivity is killed, usually both.

Tl;dr HELP!
