No incoming calls for hours on end

Last week i couldn't receive calls for the majority of thursday. I called in to Chatr tech support and they told me to turn off my phone, and they would reset the signal (or something along those lines).

After that the service seemed fine....

Until today. Now i've found out that I missed several calls from late afternoon until the middle of the night (now it's 3am).

I can call out no problem, but when people try calling me they get a "the customer is unavailable".

I switched over at the beginning of the month. I picked chatr because it supposedly used rogers service and was reliable. This is unacceptable. I'm am absolutely disgusted by the level of reliability.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar. I know this chatr fourm doesn't have much traffic, but I wanted to know if this is a widespread issue or unique to me.

my phone is an iphone which i've been using for over a year on 7-eleven speak out (and have never had this issue with incoming calls) so i really doubt it's the phone.

For the sake of troubleshooting i can try a different phone, but really i'd have to use it for several days (at least) to have any type of controlled test since my current iphone has been fine MOST of the tie, with the exception of those 2 days.

I should also mention that the phone has always been in the same place, and has 3 or 4 bars at all times.

There was a post about using the correct APN for the iphone. On my 3g I would get an network error every now and again then I saw the post about the APN and I used it.. no more error and no missed calls. Worth a try no? been with chatr since the get go and lent the sim out to a dozen visiting co-workers no issues at all. could also be a bad/faulty one in that case pop into a chatr shop and get a new sim

    Good luck

I'll try this too. My wife recently told me that she has been having this problem for a month or two.

    Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.5; en-gb; GT-I9100 Build/GINGERBREAD) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

Did you get a new telephone number? Sometimes it happens for the first week or so.

Otherwise it's a rogers network problem. IMO chatr might be low priority on the network
    Arr~
