Sweet after my plan switch I bought a LTE sim and used a cutter to micro sim it.
Tested it on a htc lte phone and worked perfect , also my blackberry works perfect.
I had it all working on my normal sim card but wanted to test and make sure I had bis and lte before this plan disappears . Every thing works perfect . 9810 on lte plan on bis and share for 10$ on lte device " !

I called twice this afternoon about this 6gb $30 LTE data plan for the switch from my regular 6gb data plan. 1st retention agent have no clue and started to be agitated, so before it gets nasty I thanked him for his assistance and ended the call. Suprisingly the 2nd retention agent was really nice, friendly and took the time helping me thru the process. Unfortunately, she also has no idea about it. We also tried all 3 of the SOC codes that 1 of our fellow hofo provided earlier but she said all of the codes ( SHSSRA016, DSPSRA0JG, BBDSRA0EK ) didnt match the description. So in the end she offered me the 10GB $50 LTE plan to try and if Im not satisfied, I can just revert back to the 6gb data plan. Before the change I have a $10 Data credit on my account, she verified the data credit wont be affected by the change to the 10GB $50 LTE plan. So the $50 LTE plan will only be $40 because of the data credit I have.

But I will still try calling them about the 6gb $30 LTE Plan to bring back my monthly bill to $45.04

Any tip how to get this LTE plan is greatly appreciated.

i talked to 2 reps and 1 retention rep regarding the 6GB LTE for $30, and no one knows about it.
I guess I have to give some time?

I wonder if they are going to honour my current $5 discount towards data with the upgrade...

    Gentlemen (and ladies),

I'm going to clarify this for you guys.

Rogers silently updated the existing $30/6GB promo to include LTE compatibility. It's not a separate LTE plan which is where cx service is getting confused. There's only ONE $30/6GB promo... and it covers regular devices & LTE devices now.

All you need to do is have them use one of the following SOC codes already mentioned in this thread: SHSSRA016, DSPSRA0JG, BBDSRA0EK

Existing 6GB customers can have their SOC code updated to one of the new ones that include LTE compatibility. If cx service argues, tell them just to update the SOC code and not ask questions.

I have 2 data discounts on my account for my 6GB plan. Will I be able to just call in and ask for an update to the SOC codes and still retain those discounts through a regular CSR? Or will those discounts be automatically removed by the system upon a change in the data plan?

I was using iPhone 4s with the old 6GB Data Sharing Plan (SHSSRA015) previously with only 1 phone on the account.

I called the CSR and asked them to change my SOC to the new 6GB Data Sharing Plan (SHSSRA016). However, she got a error which the system doesn't allow her to add it to my plan. Since the old 6GB Data Sharing Plan (SHSSRA015) is not longer available, I ended up asking her to put the new 6GB BIS Plan to my account (BBDSRA0EK).

Do I need to have a another device activated on my account before I can subscribe to the new 6GB Data Sharing Plan?

The BB plans likely have no issue being added as there are no LTE BB devices out there yet.

You'd have more success asking for a manager, or calling back to get a rep who is more familiar. I don't know any cx service rep that will add a soc code on demand. How would you like it if I told you how to do your job? For the record I don't currently work in the call center but I would be offended if you called in demanding things added.

^As would I. I would be reluctant to add a SOC to an account just because a customer told me to. Add the "not ask questions", and justifiably, I'd hang up on the abusive customer.

She was able to add both the 6GB Smart Phone (DSPSRA0JG) and BIS (BBDSRA0EK) versions to my account. But not the 6GB Sharing Plan (SHSSRA016).

Are you saying I need a LTE SIM card and add a sharing device before I get the SHSSRA016? It's odd that I could have SHSSRA015 previously when I only have 1 phone line with the account.

^I didn't read that you could add the Smartphone version. Not sure why she can't add the Share version (which is a smartphone version)

Why do you want a sharing SOC when you only have 1 account?
And I don't believe you can add the sharing SOC w/o having multiple lines under the same account, but I could be wrong.
