A message failed to send. SMS relay service may have been down, you are in a bad area, planets mis-aligned, or because it's a LG420G
I have had it happen to me and it looks like this on the screen:
To resolve the problem, you will need to go into your messaging section of the phone and delete what is (stuck) in the outbox and or drafts. Might or might not have to reboot after that. K-L-M
Have just received my new TracFone the LG420G. Have read on this forum, all of the replys talking about "NO Manuals". Someone, I forgot to keep the e-mail address, offered to e-mail a custom made manual that he created for his 90 year old Grandmother. I am a tech-nerd. I don't have the faintest idea of how to activate some of the features on this phone. I would dearly love one of those manuals. If that person gets this, many, many, thanks. Send to: flyboyB4@gmail.com

First let me say how helpful this forum in just the first time I've used it! Thanks so much for all the great info. Now I have what the experts will, I'm sure, think is a dumb question, but I'm new to the forum and new to my lg420g phone. What I've been trying to do is send a picture I took on my 420g to my computer - I've tried using my husband's laptop, which has bluetooth and is running windows 7; I've tried using my own laptop, which has a bluetooth dongle and is running Windows Vista. I've had no luck in establishing a connection with either one, and I'm wondering if it's because I don't get service on my lg420g INSIDE MY HOUSE ... only OUTSIDE. If that shouldn't be an issue, then could someone please send me a link to instructions as to how to accomplish this feat that can be understood by an old cellphone-challenged geezer like me? I'd really appreciate it as the picture is of my daughter in her wedding dress, and it's the only one I have! Thanks!

The fact that you don't get service inside your house isn't an issue for doing a BT pairing/transfer. I have a really old BT dongle and could never BT pictures from the LG420G TO the PC but I could send them from the PC to the phone. Other folks that have posted have been able to send pictures from the PC so it can be done. See if the following link helps you get that picture off your phone: http://www.best-prepaid-cell-phone-p...h-adapter.html
When I needed to get a picture off my phone I would MMS to my email address so that is another option if the article doesn't help you. Good luck, post again if you don't get it working.
This might seem complicated, but it really isn't. The bluetooth radio is separate from the telephone radio. It connects optional equipment to the phone. In order to do this, the phone and the computer have to have a secure connection, called pairing, so that other equipment can't listen in to the radio transmission. You have to do this pairing a certain way. First, turn on the bluetooth on the computer. There should be something in the control panel for a bluetooth menu. Then make the computer "visible". Then go to the phone and turn on the bluetooth there and make the phone "visible". Then use either device to "search" for another device. It might take a few seconds to come up with something. Then you select the device you want to pair with and a code will be generated. You enter the code and the two devices are now paired. The password stays stored on the devices for future use. You must now turn off the computer visibility. Actually, you only have to make one of the devices visible to the searching of the other, but I wanted to create the maximum scenario.
Now that both bluetooth radios are on and paired, you can transfer things. You might find the appropriate menus on your own, or you can download and install OBEX Commander, which is pretty good.
If you want to avoid bluetooth and don't mind spending money, you can email the picture off the phone, but you will need a good cell signal.
Feel free to ask more questions because I don't claim to explain things well!
Already checked this link, thanks. Didn't help. Finally found help by going to broadcom's website and downloading their software. http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php
Now I can get my photos off my phone.
