are you part of the motorola feedback network thing?
i'm sure once it's official we'll hear what it patched. my phone got this too, and it popped up extremely quickly after unrooting to FRG22 -> FRG83D -> FRG83G (all of which i had to do manually).

I just recieved an OTA update for my OG Droid.
Build number is FRK76
Android version 2.2.3 Baseband C_01.43.01P
Kernel 2.6.32.9-g68eeef5
android-build@apa26 #1
What's really strange is that the update notification was very "pushy" and mentioned that this contained several security updates. The file was 761kb and was a 5minute install after reboot.
Anyone know what this patched up?
I've been watching this site for a while. Figure your community is the best place to look for answers.

Hey guys, nice to see the OG still getting some love from Moto. Can you email me so we can get a dump of the new system? pete@android.net
I'm not part of the feedback network. The update was shortly after midnight central time.
The only thing different I'm noticing is linked pictures shared ny friends in Facebook are no longer displaying. Regular web articles / pages are showing, but pics are a blank gray square.
Pete - I'll try to email you today.

I would caution og Droid owners to be VERY hesitant to install this OTA. I have seen several posts in different forums about older phones acting strangely after unexpected OTAs late in the lifecycle.
Without making any accusations, I would note that vzw is not hurt if phones approaching NE2 age begin to show what would seem to be signs of age or deterioration. It's sensible to think that it would be unlikely to assign the best programming team to update software on phones soon to be phased out. Either way, a word to the wise...
At this stage, for me, the Tip O'Neill dictum would apply: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
