i got one at target at 8 am. They had 5 on the shelf. It is 270 also. For 50 i think the ov is the best to get now. Now i can wait until vm gets a good high end phone.

Even at $130 the OV is a great phone.

I purchased the Triumph several months ago. It worked well in the beginning, but then there were many issues. VM sent me a new phone and so far, so good. However, I am worried that same thing will happen to this phone.
I purchased the Wildfire S, Optimus Slider and the Optimus V during the sales/black Friday deals. I plan on testing them out and figuring out which works best for me. While I do miss the 4" screen on the MT, I do not want the same issues happening again. There are too many negative reviews of that phone. I have activated my account on the Slider and so far I am very happy. The screen size is terrible, but I mainly use the phone for calls, emails and social networking. I can get by with the smaller screen.
Has anyone come across reviews discussing the Slider and the V? I realize they're essentially the same, with the slider having the physical keyboard. It's heavier than the V, but it's a nice feature.
The V has a reputation as being a great phone. The Slider is new and hopefully follows suite with the V.
There were 3 OVs hanging on the locked peg when I walked into Target at midnite & of course there were zero by the time I used up 90 minutes of my precious life awaiting my turn at the counter. I thought perhaps more were in the stock room...
But the CSR appeared shell-shocked, was surrounded by a huge pile of crap that people in line in front of me "changed their mind" on, & when I looked at the mob in line behind me- I decided to big smile & exit the store.
Returned to the same Target today & sure enough, 3 more OVs on the locked peg, 1 of which became mine at 1pm, no mob scene & no waiting.

i was surprised my target had the ov in stock at 8 am because i assumed the 50 ov would sell out fast. I went to target at 12 midnight but could not find parking and saw a long line so went home. I went back at 8 am because online it said the store had them in stock. At 8 am there was no line and they were on a peg that was not locked. I guess the trick to get what you want is to not show up early.
I wonder how many Target pumped out @ $50. Some stores had over 100 of them, while another store only had 4. It sure did kill the resale price on craigslist/eBay. In completed items, used Optimus V phones would normally sell for $70-$90 and new ones for $110-$120. Now some used are going for $35-$50 and new is around $70-$85. I wonder where it will end up in a few weeks.

it doesn't change anything on Craigslist. black Friday is one time a year so if anyone complains about a price over $50 tell them to go back in time and buy one for $50.i got one on Craigslist right now and im not selling it any cheaper because of black Friday
You can still get them for $50, no? Was just at Target they still had a dozen. It also shows $49.99 on their website still.
So when you pump a million phones in the market at such a huge reduction in price there will be an impact on resale value.
It will come back but it may not come back 100%. Just wait a week or two and see.
