Co-worker just switched to Metro, and got a Samsung Admire. Just within the last few days a problem with texting has come up. On several occasions when his girlfriend has txted him, the message gets corrupted and 3/4 of it come out garbled. On one of the messages the text changed to kanji, another it changed to arabic, and on several it came out as symbols.
Is this a Admire issue? I know we are in a building that signal doesn't penetrate very well, so I'm not sure if the phone gets a message, loses signal and just picks up garbage, or if this is a Metro network issue. A store rep told him to bring it in and they would hard reset it for him. Not sure what good this would do, though if it is a known fix, I can do it here on site.

I also have a Samsung Admire. I get spam texts from 2 numbers mostly from "502" and "400000" never ending zeros. The one from 502 sends more than 21 texts (several a day) looking like this:

Your best bet is to install a spam text blocker. I installed Mobile Manager. Its free and blocks texts like these and unwanted calls. It still comes but I only see it if I check the mobile manager app for blocked texts and NOT my text inbox.
