Don't worry. If you don't get anything just file a chargeback with your credit card company, claiming item not received.
That's the beauty with credit cards, isn't it?

Hello,
I got a new HTC Panache locked to Mobilicity today and I'm on Wind. So I paid for an unlock code from theunlock.ca since they advertise instant unlock codes for HTC.
That was at 2:30 this afternoon and now its after 8 o'clock and I'm still waiting on them. Is this normal?
I did read on this forum that people have had success with theunlock.ca but at this point I'm feeling a little burned. Am I being unreasonable?

$25 Back-To-School Plan
Unlimited Local Calling
Unlimited SMS & MMS
Unlimited Data
Caller ID
$5 Call Features Add-on Bundle w/ FreePhoneLine Voicemail
Call Waiting
Call Forwarding
3-Way Calling
Voicemail
$2 PAC credit for life
$20 port-in credit for 10 months
It's not even that I'm that worried about the money since its only $25. Just annoyed that I can't use my new phone and trying to decide how long to wait before I give up on them and try another unlock service.
What are other online unlock providers that are fast and honorable?

I would give them more than about 5 hours. Unlock codes usually come from most companies within 5 hours but it's not uncommon for them to take 12 to 24 hours. Why not give sntraders/theunlock a phone call?
If all else fails and you get your money back, there are many sellers on ebay who sell the code and mobileincanada also sells it for about the same price. Also, you should know that all HTC Panache phones can be unlocked for free (search on the web about using gfree and rooting).

^give em a try
Another place this phone can be unlocked is XDA Forums. Using Root access to achieve sim unlock does void any warranty though. With this method, you can also stop the phone from yelling out "Mobilicity!' at full blast upon startup. Unfortunately, I had I already paid for an unlock code for my phone a few months earlier (what a big waste of money).
Tip: even if you don't want to use custom roms made by unknown programmers, the stock Videotron firmware has no carrier branding, is a newer version, and has less bugs/glitches than the Mobilicity version. (example: delete by selection text messaging bug is fixed. This bug causes an incorrect menu to show whenever you start typing a message in portrait mode, switch to landscape mode, and then use the backspace key)
Thanks,
I chatted with theunlock and he says the servers are down and he currently has 200 HTC IMEI's waiting. I know about unlocking it by rooting but I wanted to actually use the phone for a little first before I root it and try out cyanogenmod.

Tip for those wanting to root and unlock it that way, it is a time consuming and quite the trial and error process (at least coming from someone who is not that tech savvy but willing to experiment a little). Definitely not the typical one-click rooting method.
Consider yourself warned.

I've used this website numerous times they are always the cheapest:
http://www.cellunlocker.net/
Another unlocking service (freedomobile.com) confirmed that the HTC code servers were down yesterday. And while theunlock.ca hasn't emailed me yet they did have my unlock code available on their website when I checked back this morning. So all is good.
@ECBomb - I do realize that unlocking this phone is not for the faint of heart. That is why I was willing to pay to unlock it and use it for awhile before I take the plunge.
Thanks all.
Charles
My servers (unlockit.ca) are still up and running. You can PM me if interested. For all howardforums members, dont purchase from my site as you get a better deal by PM-ing me.
