    Does anybody use/has used a Softbank 740SC in Canada?

    i was thinking of getting this phone for a friend for christmas and was wondering how good the signal strength is and where/when would you lose signal (eg: in buildings, underground, etc.)?

    (i wasn't quite sure where to post this so i apologize if it's in the wrong spot! i was going to post this in the 'others' forum, but noticed that the phone brands didn't include samsung...)

    thanks for replying!

    i recently purchased this phone on ebay (and currently waiting for it to arrive). where would you typically lose signal? eg: underground parking lot? i just want to know which areas to avoid...but i guess it should be okay since it's software unlocked, so i wouldn't need to worry about having to CPR the phone.

    thanks again!

    Your mp3s need to be converted MMF format and they also have a 300KB file size limit Good luck.

    It's all good (^_^)

    ahh

    @IonNuke:
    i see..alright then, i'll try converting it then! THX!

    @tehsecretplace: the main advantage is tht u wouldn't need to CPR>>>about the losing signal topic..i read some forum tht ppl say it loses signal when ur at library or underground parking lot

    i just got my 740SC about 2 days ago..i havent have any prob with it. signal is really strong but the main point is all about how strong is ur provider signal, the stronger the signal, less chance of disconnecting~~

    loving the white 740SC :clapping::clapping:

    for areas, you can try wander around places i guess..cuz i nvr had problems where in Canada..or taking underground skytrain. i wouldn't worry much cuz it usually automatically return back again if it disconnected.:)

    Aren't there signal repeaters in the Skytrain tunnels? At least that's what I've observed over the past week... I've had decent signal even underground on Telus.

    yea for skytrain, the signal are decent. i don't know if this applies to every1 740SC, i lose signal at arcade gaming area but it's not like totally went OUT for a long period of time but it balance between zero signal to 2 bars..other than that.. this phone works very well!

    Wait... your 740SC is soft unlocked so you should have absolutely no CPR issues.

    You can always set airplane mode if you're in an area with poor signal. Poor signal = phone tries harder to look for signal = poor battery life.
