They changed it since I was there yestderday, now it shows a new tower going up within next 6 months and data increase.

Great! The map shows a tower in my area that I reported having 1x download speeds as upgraded in the last 6 months. Now I get 2mb plus download.

The tower locations for my area all appear to be accurately placed on the map.

This tool wasn't meant to show all of the cell site locations that Sprint has. Only the ones that have received upgrades or are planned to be getting them. But I'm guessing that if an entirely new site is coming up in the next 6 months it will also be placed on the map as a future voice upgrade. But not sure on that.

It will say "new tower"

Which according to sprint means:

You'll get expended coverage and roam less, which means you'll have better battery life, too.

They aren't adding a lot of new towers, takes a bit to find one.

I think there are 2 for the entire NYC metro area for the entire year. That's bad. However, everything else seems to be good.

I'll have to check on that but I bet it's more like 7 or 8 for 2011.

ok? Fair enough, but the site shows a time span of an entire year. 3 is a very low number, unless it does not show upcoming sites.

I think this site is a bunch of bull it says that a capacity upgrade was completed on the tower closest to me but yet I'm still getting slow speeds. There also isn't any other upgrades in that field planned for the next month. Making my in progress switch to T-mobile a smarter and smarter move everyday.

There were others added earlier in the year. The previous 6 months would only go back to mid May. There won't be many future towers showing for the next 6 months because it's all about network vision now.

Does this map include towers that they are transitioning from Nextel iDEN only to Sprint CDMA?
